wow....what a week!! first off last monday was the typical boring Curuguaty P-day, made even worse knowing that we would find out changes the next day :P but the day finally ended, and upong waking up Elder Souza and i went to Santani to have the quick little district meeting and then find out changes...the entire time i had this terrible feeling in my gut that i woudl be leaving :P finally the lesson ended and the zone leaders gave all the changes to Elder souza on a piece of paper, he then read the changes for every single person of the district besides me, but when he read his second to last he said that he would be receiving a new guy from columbia! so that had to mean that i was leaving...he then read my changes, i have been changed to Capiata C with Elder Alvarez! he is a short little chilean guy with quite the personality...lets just imagine a man that danced the salsa and other such couples dances before the mission, with a nametag and as a Zone leader...haha i can never predict his next move, but he is a super fun guy, always singing and dancing, calling me "babe" "sunshine" "sweetheart" in the house all the time, haha we get along pretty well :) the only really hard part is that the area is being reopened as a "whitewash" so that means that the two of us are new to the area, and we dont know anybody or anything. but the ward members are super cool and are helping us out a lot! which reminds me, church attendance suday? yea, there were 110 people there! soooooo different from Curugaty, but anyway, back to my weektuesday i had to do all my goodbyes...that was hard, but not as hard as i thought it would be, but it was weird nonetheless, Curugaty has been my home for the past 4 1/2 months! i have really come to love the people and the area, but i knew it was time to leave. i spent the entire night packing and getting ready to leave, i am actually pretty proud of how effective i was with my packing, i only forgot one cord and the charger for my speaker! haha :) but i was up basically the entire night because our bust left at 2am and so i finished packing in time to just head out to the bus station :P long drive, and saying goodbye to Elder Souza was really hard :( i have enjoyed the past 3months with him so much, have learned and grown, and we just really worked together super well, and i am going to miss him. but yea....
when we got to the chapel where we do all the exchange of comps i got my package!! it was sooo huge!! haha but i do have a quick question, i had to open it inside of a bag because it had busted open and they put it in a bag, but did you send my gerber/leatherman? or shoe inserts? i got peranut butter(lots of it) and all the beef jerky, the socks(thank you thank you thank you) and the handkerchiefs(i gave away like 15 to other missionaries) and all the pills, back ointments, charitys pic(which is hanging up on my desk) and my little banner doll :) i feel like i got most everything, and my guess is that the shoe inserts and pocket knife jsut werent sent, cause even though it was busted, teh box was still pretty solid :)
upon arriving to Capiata we started to get to know the area, since it is a whitewash we were shown around by the other elders that know it a little, and the hermanas that used to be here showed us around too. we went to ward night and i watched a whole bunch of youth get together and play sports! i havent seen this many youth in forever!!! it was so cool :) aside from that my week has been just full of walking. our area is super big, and our house isnt even in our area!! so we walk waaaaayyyyyymore than we did in Curugaty, which i didnt even know would be possible (but in Curugaty i wasnt lost all the time)
i am running out of time and want to send photos, so sunday was super good, all three hours!! and then today for pday we spent most of it doing our zone activity of an asado and playing sports!!! i love it all here!!! life is good :)
oh btw the hermana that had showed us around the area also gave us some betty crocker cookies that she got in her páckage, and so because i read one of the peanut butter things said share, and i wanted to share the love with more than jus my comp, i gave her a package, so what i have should last me like 3 months(if i control myself well) ;)
love and hugs from paraguay!!
